Job details for Purchasing Agent:
- Aquire materials and parts for the modular construction industry
- Establish suppliers and negotiate prices and contracts
- Control, study and balance inventory levels
- Place orders and track shipments
- Conduct product research
- Coordinate with designers and production
- Forecast costs, availability and suitability of parts and materials
- Ability to read and understand construction plans
- Oversee inventory, warehouse staff and shipping and receiving
- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling and distribution
Job requirements for Purchasing Agent:
Qualified candidates must have good written and communication skills, must be organized and detail oriented in order to meet deadlines. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment and be able to balance multiple projects effectively. This is fast paced environment, so candidates will need strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
